Sertoma of Greater Sarasota Mission Statement

We strive to strengthen our community by increasing awareness of and providing financial support and resources for individuals and families with speech, language and hearing needs.

Established in 1956, the Sertoma Club of Greater Sarasota is a dynamic and volunteer-driven organization, comprising over 70 dedicated members. Rooted in the meaning of Sertoma, "SERvice TO MAnkind," our core mission is to raise funds supporting children facing speech, language, and hearing challenges in our community, embodied in our flagship initiative, Sertoma Kids Inc. Beyond our philanthropic efforts, we are an inclusive and diverse club where individuals of all backgrounds, interests, and beliefs unite for a common cause while having fun doing it. Regardless of age, you can be part of Sarasota's most engaging and impactful service club, helping to uplift lives and make a meaningful difference in our community.

SERVICE

Service is part of the Sertoma name (Service to Mankind), and since its founding in 1956 Sertoma Club of Greater Sarasota has helped make our community better and stronger through grants, scholarships, and volunteer service hours our members provide each year.

FRIENDSHIP

Our members come from all backgrounds and walks of life, but the one thing we all share in common is a desire to help and support one another and our community. We feel confident in saying that you won't find a friendlier, more cohesive service organization than Sertoma Sarasota.

FUN

From our annual golf tournament (which has raised more than $1 million for local charities since its founding almost 30 years ago) to monthly happy hours and socials, holiday parties, and Southwest Florida's biggest and best food, music, and craft beer festival, My Hometown Fest, Sertoma Sarasota members know how to have fun.
