Laura Randall is the Director of Development for Hostage US and oversees the fund development for the organization. Since 2017 Laura has held the designation of Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE). Previously, Laura has served as the senior fundraiser for a variety of organizations, spearheading philanthropic activities and managing advancement teams. She has successfully cultivated relationships with constituents, securing annual, capital, and planned gifts, and implementing comprehensive marketing strategies to build a strong pipeline of donors. Laura began her career in fundraising with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and has worked with other nonprofit organizations including the Pines of Sarasota Foundation, the Economic Development Corporations of Sarasota County, the University of Tampa and the American Cancer Society. Laura's community engagement extends beyond her professional roles. She co-hosts and produces the FACEing Mental Illness Podcast, volunteers as a Peer Support/Crisis Counselor for Crisis Text Line, and serves as the Vice President of the Board for the Literacy Council of Sarasota. She has also held leadership positions within Rotary District 6960 and the Rotary Clubs of Sarasota and Manatee. Laura holds a Masters in Telecommunications Policy from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Santa Clara. Her interest in global issues began when she lived in Asia and served as the President of the League of Women Voters in Hong Kong prior to the British handover.
